Does the ZENA welder provide power for electrical tools?

No, a separate accessory is needed to power electrical tools. While this could be a stand alone engine driven generator, two other options satisfy safety and cost requirements for most vehicles:

• a DC inverter supplied with DC power by your vehicle's stock electrical system battery, or
• a DC inverter supplied with DC power (when not welding) by your ZENA welding power generator connected and regulated to provide proper charging current to a separate battery which is used to supply power to the inverter (and/or to other high current demand devices).

If your welder is installed on a free standing motor with a perfectly governed speed control, and sufficient horsepower, a third option exists:

• the use of a small belt drive/vehicle engine driven AC generator

Some people also advocate using an alternator to supply high voltage DC power for power tools. However, in our opinion, high voltage DC power supplies are simply not a safe option.
